Mike Dale Drum Studios are strategically placed along the Wasatch Front in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since 1997, Mike Dale has provided Utah with the best drum instruction. We have locations in both Salt Lake and Utah counties with the goal of serving Utah for its drum lesson needs.
Riverton Music is located in Sandy Utah, just off of 90th S and 1-15. Drum lessons have been taught by Mike Dale at this location since 2000. In that time, Mike has went from having only one studio, to now a total of 6. Mike Dale also has several assistants providing excellent instruction as well. Music lessons at Riverton Music is a popular place for learning! It’s no wonder that many of the drum students siblings also take lessons with one of the other instructors that offer other instruments. The Drum Studios at Riverton Music are sound treated to provide controlled volume during lessons. The studio doors are also custom built with windows. All of the factors provide a comfortable learning environment.
Drum students that end up taking lessons at Riverton Music in Sandy, will also have the chance to take advantage of the concert hall. The high-end concert hall allows ample space for master classes, recitals, band practices, band performances and much more .Riverton Music also hosts "Open Mic Night", this is where all ages, all instruments and all styles get together to perform. Many of Mike Dale's students take full advantage of these events. Mike Dale Drum Studios also utilizes the hall for two concerts a year. These concerts provide the opportunity for the students to perform and share what they have been working on during drums lessons!
For students who live in the Salt Lake area as well as Hoilday, Olympus Cove, Murray and Sugar House, Mike Dale Drum Studios – Brighton (Cottonwood Heights) is easily accessed utilizing 2-15. Located at 2540 East Bengal Blvd, our Cottonwood Heights location serves as a convenient one stop drum studio. The Brighton Studio was built in 1983. It served Utah’s drum lessons needs as “Musicians Pro Shop”. The building then changed hands to Summerhays Music Center. It was during this time that the drum lesson/drum instruction program grew. With over 250 drum students in just this location alone. It was Utah’s largest drum program, period. In the mid 90’s, Summerhays expanded their teaching studios as well as the drum lesson studio’s. In 2000 Summerhays Music relocated their retail store to Sandy, Utah . The Brighton building is now occupied by South Valley Studios which houses the drum studios of Mike Dale.
Families living in the Utah County area have the advantage of being able to take drum lessons with Mike Dale in the studio located in Lehi, Utah. Just off of 1-15 and Pilgrims loop, students and parents will find it very easy to attend their drum lessons each week. For the the drum students that live in Alpine, Saratoga Springs, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, they will also find it very easy to reach the Drum School. Many drum students even come from Bluffdale, Herriman, Lindon and Provo due to the easy freeway access. The “Gymcats Location” is a terrific learning and activity environment. With hundreds and hundreds of students learning Gymnastics as well as music lessons such as- Guitar, Drums, Piano and voice. The percussion studio’s inside of Gymcats are sound treated so that the learning drum student is able to have a distraction free environment.
