Dream drum set: Gretsch Renown 5 pc set with platinum coated Zildjian cymbals. H Tom 8×10; M Tom 9×12; L Tom 12×14; Kick 18×24; Taylor Hawkins signature snare 5×14

Practice routine: Warm up song and rudiments. Then, I practice lessons and play as long as I can each day.

What would you like to learn next: Something by The Red Hot Chili Peppers

How long been playing: 8 months

Other hobbies: Are there other hobbies? Just kidding, I like to ski, listen to music, and BMX

What made you start drums: I love music and always wanted to play the drums. I got a drum set for Christmas and never looked back

I would play drums for the Foo Fighters. I love their music and they are my favorite band.

Ian Grimmer is an excellent student! He started studying drums in the summer of 2014. Ian has already progressed through several belts as well as songs. Ian’s progress is mainly due to his strict practice routine which consists of no less than 2 hours a day. Ian also enjoys playing drums by ear and trying to learn as many songs as possible. His current song that he is learning is Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson. Ian studies drum lessons in Salt Lake City. He has had the chance to play on all of the different drum sets in the studio. Ian is working on all of his drumming skills such as, Drum line, Bell Kit, Drum Set and plays a mean Cowbell:) Ian has an outstanding attitude and is always excited to learn!
