April 2017 Brecken Hunter!

Brecken started his drumming career at a very young age. His is parents recall him drumming on anything that could provide a sound. Brecken is an excellent student and really enjoys performing. He is currently working toward his purple belt in drumming which includes finishing up his snare drum book and passing off the final purple belt solo. Brecken enjoys several styles of music but some of his favorite bands are Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Rush. He has had an opportunity to play a song from each of these bands and has done a fine job learning them. Brecken aims to learn how to play Tom Sawyer by Rush in the very near future. At the 2017 Drum Recital, Brecken performed Message In A Bottle by the Police and was a hit!

He performed with much confidence and really enjoyed the experience of playing live. For his last birthday, Brecken received a dream drum set. Up to that point Brecken had been practicing on a set that was very beginner in hopes of proving to his parents that he meant business:) After several years of consistent practice, they then surprised him with a maple Pacific kit with cymbals galore! Brecken also performs on the drums with his local school band as well the band at his church. He has also played in a few small bands with his friends and really enjoys performing for friends and family. Brecken has a goal of making sure that drumming is always going to be a major part of his life!

Congratulations Brecken!
